Tennessee State University Library Digital Collections

The images from the archive of the Brown-Daniel Library provide an overview of the early years of Tennessee State University, which was founded in 1912 as the State Normal School for Negroes. The digital collection includes photos of Students, Faculty, Staff, the administration of the first president, William Jasper Hale, early campus buildings, organizations, activities, and events.
