Description

The Literati Club Was Founded in the Fall of 1932 by Miss Zelma L. Redmond. This Organization Sought to Create a Special Desire for Speech Improvement by Making Students Increasingly More English-Conscious; Encourage Creative Activity and to Improve Self-Expression. Its Motto Was "Great Oaks From Little Acorns Grow". This Group Took Pride In Its Attemps to "Raise Fallen Humanity Through the Expression of Noble Thoughts". The Literati Club Eventually Merged Into Lambda Eta Sigma, a National Honor Fraternity.
