Symbolic Rees algebra and polynomials
Abstract
Let K be a field and P be the kernel of the homomorphism from K[[x, y, z]] to K[[t]] defined by {x -> tn, y -> tm, z -> tl }. One wishes to know whether the Symbolic Rees algebra of P, [special characters omitted] is Noetherian. We show this is true for P(n, m, l) = P(5, 26, 59).
