Unprecedented Cross Coupling Processes for the Synthesis of New Series of Esters

Arpona Hira, Tennessee State University

Abstract

Esters are chemical compounds with many practical uses. These uses include but are not limited to major industrial petrochemicals, medical inhibitors, and cosmetic ingredients. Esters also observe as basic building blocks of life, animal cells. By applying two new methods, new series of ester compounds have synthesized like arachidonic acid ester, folic acid ester, and cholesterol esters. This research work demonstrates the discovery of new series of esters by cross coupling chemistry under microwave irradiation.
